Undoubtedly due my Spanish origins, the Orient from "The Thousand and One Nights" has always fed my imagination. Then came the travels, Andalusia and the Great Maghreb: I found myself facing a world that took over the senses.
With these journeys I discovered places where beauty is with the state of desire. And it wasn't colors or images that I sought, but an enrichment of memory. Haven't these Orientals given us a number of elements that allowed the rise of our civilization? Aesthetic enrichment also: isn't Islamic art founded on theoretical bases completely opposed to those of our Western art?
It is an interbreeding that I offer for you to see at this exhibition, the assimilation of this art seen by an Orientophile.
